I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra

Chapter 78

Ezekiel nodded, understanding the gravity of what she was asking. "Alright, I’ll draw it in," he said, steeling himself for the task ahead. "But you two better be ready."

Edge, though exhausted, managed a grim smile. "Guess this is where we see what we’re really made of."

They took their positions, each of them readying for what could be their final stand in killing the monster. Ezekiel stepped forward, raising his spear in a deliberately shaky hand, making it seem like he was on the verge of collapse. He taunted Subterranea, shouting insults and daring it to strike him.

The serpent’s eyes narrowed, focusing intently on Ezekiel. It sensed his weakness and, driven by instinct, prepared to strike. Its body coiled tightly, the air around it crackling with electricity as it built up energy for a devastating attack.

And that’s where Edge moved in closer, deliberately placing himself in the Subterranea’s line of sight, further baiting it to lunge. Surprisingly, the serpent took the bait, its massive head shooting forward, fangs bared and venom dripping, aiming to take them both down in a single, lethal strike.

"Now, Edge!" Remillia shouted, her heart pounding in her chest.

At the last possible moment, Edge leaped to the side, narrowly avoiding the serpent’s fangs. In that split second, the Subterranea’s head was exposed, its vulnerable spot under the jaw in clear view.

Remillia, with every ounce of strength she had left, dashed forward. Her blade gleamed in the dim light, aimed directly at the serpent’s weak spot. With a fierce cry, she leaped into the air and drove her sword into the soft flesh beneath Subterranea’s jaw.

The serpent let out a deafening roar, its body thrashing wildly as the blade pierced its vulnerable spot. Sparks of electricity surged through the air, but Remillia held firm, driving the weapon deeper, determined to end the fight once and for all.

Remillia’s heart sank as she saw the Subterranea’s body twitch, the serpent still clinging to its life despite the devastating blow she had delivered. Its yellow eyes, now dimmed but not extinguished, glared at her with a lingering, vengeful fury. The monster was weakened, but it wasn’t dead yet.

"Uh-uhm Remillia?"
