... It’s true that Kaelith Bloodfane was the one who defeated all the Chromids but unfortunately, Arkus Maguire stabbed him behind the back. Kaelith didn’t have the chance to fight back as he exhausted all his mana in defending his team from being devoured at the same time attacking those monsters that came close to them.
Arkus Maguire and Kaelith Bloodfane were rivals although Kaelith tried his best to befriend Arkus ever since they were in the Academy. They even went to the same guild but because of Arkus’ inferiority complex towards Kaelith, he hated everything about him, everytime he completed a quest, Kaelith would complete an even bigger quest so when they were tasked to complete a mission, that’s when he saw an opportunity, he stabbed Kaelith and pushed him on a cliff.
Once their teammates regained their consciousness, they only found Arkus standing on a cliff and crying that Kaelith sacrificed his life for saving them. They believed him and mourned for Kaelith but for the wrong reason. Ever since they got out and proclaimed that they conquered the fortress, they requested the Nexus to find his body but no one found any whereabouts to where his body is since then.
Arkus Maguire was given a medal of honor and bravery and they also built a statue for him beside the entrance of the Spire of the Damned.

I didn’t realize that I was crying. I only noticed it when Macaron came to console me.
I swear I will find his body and give him a proper burial like he deserved.
I need to gather evidence that Kaelith is the true Hero and not just a random guy.
