"Seriously, I can’t believe what I’m reading right now," I mumbled to myself.
Raphael was supposed to be a hero, famous for his successful mission and saving ten of his colleagues. He should have been promoted to at least Advanced Grade 4. His sister, Angela, should be bragging about him constantly. That’s how it was supposed to go, not this mess!
And the Rakshesha’s mark? That was supposed to show up way later, like in Season 15!
’This is bad,’ I thought.
The Rakshesha’s Mark has a three-year incubation period. If it hatches inside Raphael, the current Cypher won’t be able to beat it. Even if Cypher gets stronger, he’d never be able to kill his best friend.
Sure, an Apex Hero, the highest rank, could handle it, but they’re all gone. Even if they sent Elite-ranked Heroes, they’d need at least ten of them to take it down.
I couldn’t let that happen. Those Heroes are going to be crucial later on.
There’s only one way. The host has to die. I have at least two years to make it happen.
Nobody would believe me if I told them the truth anyway. The Rakshesha’s mark is practically undetectable, even with top-of-the-line gear. They’d just think I was crazy and lock me up.
I can’t just sit here. He absolutely has to die for the original story to stay on track.
