“An angel...? Are you saying that...thing.... just now was an angel?”
Mr. Layton seemed quite surprised.
As soon as the angel disappeared, he grabbed me and started asking me all sorts of questions, and even when I answered, only more questions came back.
“He’s one of the many beings who serve the Lord. I’m also acquainted with him.”
“He, he looked very different from what I thought an angel would look like...”
The carefree smile from earlier was no longer visible on Mr. Layton, who was scratching his head.
Only a head filled with bursting, complicated thoughts, and shaken eyes could be seen.
“Did the ancient gods originally command such angels...?”
But it was the same for Her Highness.
“The ancient gods are the laws of the universe. How could there be angels for the laws? It’s the same as they themselves already permeating everywhere in this universe, so there’s no reason to deliberately command or create such things. Only personified gods create angels.”
