Chapter 26: You Two, See Me After You’re Done
Blatant gazes followed me and Lyla as we headed toward the stage.
‘That’s the guy who cleared a gate marked as literally un-clearable...’
‘A combination of solid offense and airtight defense, huh...’
‘Hmm? Doesn’t look that strong, though?’
‘The woman who crushed China’s Yang Tenzin is right there...’
I stepped up onto the stage and tapped the mic a couple times.
After a quick self-introduction, my associates whispered translations into the guests’ ears.
“I don’t care if you’re criminals or whatever. You give me money, I give you the item. Simple, right?”
A tone that could easily be considered arrogant.
But no one took issue with how I said it.
“Oh, and I don’t know if everyone here read the post I made... but does anyone remember the last line?”
Once my people finished translating, they all stared me down with sharp eyes.
