The heat in the room was almost sweltering. I smiled faintly and tried to calm my pounding chest.
“Yeah, whew. We knew this much already. It’s what comes next that matters.”
“Ahahaha! Ahh, thank you, young miss. Truly.”
Executive Director Ha Joo-seong smiled so brightly that I wondered if he’d always been this cheerful, and offered me his thanks.
“Hey, it’s too early to be thanking me. If it doesn’t break the barrier by the end of the day, it all goes to zero... ah.”
Ah-ha.
Come to think of it, Ha Joo-seong’s position was slightly different from mine.
I had bet on an extreme probability, but Ha Joo-seong had simply bet on the dollar's value going down.
He wouldn’t gain as much from plain put and call options, but since volatility had gone insane already, he was basically guaranteed to make several times profit.
