Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 665: Evolving [1]

Inside the damaged coffin of forgotten spatial space, a youth in a black top and pants with an owl on his shoulder could be seen surrounded by multiple beasts of varying sizes. The air rippled faintly around them, filled with the scent of mana and faint traces of death energy.

There were monsters of all kinds, creatures of different shapes and colors. Some were monkey-like, their fur covered in strange, bright hues. Others were ape-like, massive in build and radiating an aura of primitive might.

Two among them were particularly familiar. They had once been Black Apes, creatures Michael had taken from the spatial crack he and his two classmates had cleared back in Woodstone City. Under his control, they had evolved into Blue Apes, attaining the rare rank. Later, they advanced further into Grey Apes as extraordinary rank creatures.

Scorpion-shaped monsters crawled across the ground nearby.

Through the academy channels, Michael had gathered a collection of undead that mirrored the variety of life itself. The result of Michael’s connections and time in the academy was evident in this space. There were tiger-like beasts, goat-shaped creatures, and even smaller undead resembling rats, ants, and mosquitoes.

In one corner of the coffin space, a school of fishlike undead drifted lazily through a floating sphere of black water. Beside them, a few hulking beasts towered and looked like elephants.

Michael stood silently, observing them with calm satisfaction. Through their shared link, his calm voice echoed directly into the minds of his undead.

"You’re making the space a little crowded. Change into your human forms."

Immediately, a ripple of energy spread through the confined space as the undead responded. One after another, they began to shift. Bones cracked and rearranged, monstrous limbs shrank, and dark energy surged around their bodies as transformation began.

Before the change completed, however, several of them bent forward and vomited out strange objects. At first glance, it looked like chunks of debris, but on closer inspection, they were actually folded garments—shirts, cloaks, pants, belts, and even boots, all stored within their bodies.

Michael wasn’t surprised. Thanks to the undead transformation, their clothing often got destroyed during battle or while shifting between forms. To solve that, he had ordered those capable of storing things to keep spare clothes inside their bodies. The ones who couldn’t were instructed to hand theirs to those who could.

Of course, this method only worked when they weren’t in combat, but it saved him the hassle of constantly having to replace uniforms after every evolution, transformation, or fight. The last thing he wanted was to deal with an army of naked undead every time.
