Chapter 265: Morning Sickness
Early in the morning, Mrs. Zeng, who hadn’t slept well the night before, couldn’t get up early.
Originally, breakfast was supposed to be handled by the Song and Peng families. But this morning, when they entered the kitchen, everything was fine while they were cooking congee, but both felt nauseous while frying eggs.
The two pregnant women had experienced morning sickness before, but it wasn’t severe, so they thought it was over. Who would have thought it would relapse now!
Realizing this, the two were at a loss for words, then smiled bitterly.
Now, this family has their eldest sister-in-law, who’s recovering from illness, and their mother-in-law mainly has to take care of Mrs. Li.
"Second sister-in-law, should we tell Mom?"
Mrs. Peng looked at Mrs. Song and whispered.
Mrs. Song nodded and said, "Let’s tell her, I can’t hold on any longer!"
Just now, the smell of eggs made Mrs. Song throw up bile.
After resting for a moment, the two went together to see Mrs. Zeng.
Mrs. Zeng was sleeping in the same room as Mrs. Li, and hearing the knock on the door, she was startled awake.
"What’s wrong with you two?"
"Why are your faces so pale?"
Mrs. Zeng got up, saw her two daughters-in-law’s pale faces, and was frightened.
"Mom, we’re okay, it’s just our morning sickness is a bit severe!"
Mrs. Song smiled at Mrs. Zeng and softly explained the reason.
"Why is it coming back?"
Mrs. Zeng hadn’t processed Mrs. Song’s words yet and said something subconsciously, but quickly realized it was inappropriate.
It’s normal for a woman to experience morning sickness when pregnant; it’s not her daughters-in-law’s fault.
Realizing this, Mrs. Zeng quickly said, "I’m not blaming you, just surprised."
"Okay, you go rest, I’ll make breakfast!"
"Mom, we’re sorry for the trouble!"
Mrs. Song felt a bit embarrassed, but this morning sickness occurred without choice.
"What trouble? You are extending the Yuan Family, and as your mother-in-law, I’m just making breakfast, it’s no trouble!"
Mrs. Zeng waved her hand calmly and said, "You two go keep your sister-in-law company while I make breakfast."
"Since you’re feeling nauseous, I’ll figure out something you can eat!"
The fatigue from Mrs. Zeng’s sleepless night vanished instantly.
In the room, Mrs. Li heard the conversation between Mrs. Zeng and Mrs. Song, and she felt a bit sullen. Compared to the lives of Mrs. Song and Mrs. Peng now, Mrs. Li felt envious.
But when Mrs. Song and Mrs. Peng entered the room, Mrs. Li still had to put on a smile and comfort them.
"Sisters-in-law, don’t worry, morning sickness isn’t a big deal!"
As they entered the room, Mrs. Li’s expression became calm again, and she smiled slightly, comforting the two.
Mrs. Song and Mrs. Peng just smiled.
Although morning sickness isn’t pleasant, both of them were actually in good spirits, as soon they’ll become mothers again!
They became pregnant at the same time, and the delivery dates shouldn’t differ by much, and managing postpartum care will be quite a challenge.
Mrs. Zeng left the courtyard hurriedly to find Old Yuan, telling him about the daughters-in-law’s morning sickness.
Upon hearing this, Old Yuan immediately found Yuan Yindi, instructing him to quickly bring in the young maid.
All these things happening together, they can’t let his wife do everything, right? Who could endure this?
