General Meng’s son had helped me put on the Golden Guard armor, only to shake his head.
It was obvious to anyone—it looked like borrowed clothing.
The loose-fitting upper garment sagged, and the sword at my waist was far too long.

If I approached the Emperor looking like this, even a fool would realize something was off.
As General Meng’s son wore a troubled expression, a voice cut in.
“Then bring the uniform of a eunuch. There are young eunuchs too, after all.”
