Untouchable Lovers

Chu Yu was both shocked and angry, subconsciously slapping Tian Rujing with the back of her hand. She had thought that Tian Rujing aimed to retrieve the bracelet but had not expected him to outmaneuver her at the last moment!

Tian Rujing’s face turned aside from the blow, but he said nothing, slowly turning his head back, stubbornly and defiantly said, "Anyone who might influence the power, I intended to kill Rong Zhi, and you, I planned to lock up."

Without thinking, Chu Yu forcefully slid the silver metallic ring down from her wrist and sneered, "Won’t I just transfer it to someone else?" If he could play this trick, couldn’t she?

Tian Rujing, with a vacant look in his eyes, a clear finger mark visible on his pale face, blood, black as ink, trickling from the corner of his mouth, "Do you know what happens to someone who once owned the bracelet but then gives up its authority?" His gaze grew hollow, and his voice slower, "They lose all their memories and become an idiot."

The situation with Rong Zhi’s transfer of authority was different; it was but a loan, not exceeding an hour. Provided nothing was done during this period, the effects wouldn’t be substantial, while now, Chu Yu had entwined her life with this bracelet.

If he had not met her, he could have remained pure-hearted, unswayed by the troubles of worldly emotions, steadfastly moving towards his goal, without the struggle of conflicting emotions of love and hate.
