- The red line marks the approximate borders between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom right before Bumi liberates himself and Omashu.
- Omashu is the light blue dot in the southwest of the continent.
- The green line marks the separation between the coalition of southern realms who have turned to King Bumi for leadership. Note that the 'U' shape is due to the Si Wong desert, which is one hell of a large wasteland and also considered practically no man's land by all parties.

Xing initially adopted a plain Scorpion, but with the impressive feat of slaying a dragon and gifting the Fire Lord the privilege of destroying the last dragons (also, nudge nudge, wink wink), he used dragon heads in lieu of pincers to recognize his official title of 'Dragon'. With his elevation to Prince of Ba Sing Se, the Fire Nation's flame replaced the stinger in recognition of his great service to the realm by seizing Ba Sing Se.
