Chapter 448; Good afternoon students!
The bell for lunchtime rang, it was 12:45 but the students were directed over to the parading area where all the Senior and Junior High gathered forming straight lines for each class and they stood in several rows facing the platform that was used by the teachers to address them every single morning.
"Good afternoon students! It’s lunch break but we have an announcement to make, after having your lunch, all the students are instructed and expected to go over to the hospital and get their medical examinations done! It’s a must for every one of you, and if you don’t want to go through that, you will have to leave the school premises and bring your parents with a good reason as to why you don’t want to go through the medical checkup!" The Principal stood there and addressed them before going in for a meeting as all the teachers had already gathered in the boardroom having their meals.
The students looked surprised, and others, it was shocking news, others turned pale! Undergoing medical examinations meant they could detect anything and everything from pregnancy to drugs which were banned and prohibited.
Be it the University or Research Institute, they prohibited illegal drugs, smoking, and also the existence of several contagious diseases, they needed to be on guard against all that!
"The dorm masters would also do an inspection from dorm to dorm, and everyone should be present in their dorms, we won’t be having the afternoon classes, I don’t have anything much to say, all of you have a lovely afternoon..." With that, he dismissed the students before strolling away over to the boardroom. They had called every executive hired in that school over to discuss things.
"Why do they need a medical checkup for? It’s been months before we had it, I don’t even recall when it was the last time we did it, I even thought they had abolished it!" One of the students complained as they had forgotten what it was to do a medical checkup.
It seemed like with new teachers and employed staff, they would have to enhance the rules that had been stated down governing the Ximena Institutions.
"It’s normal to introduce that but it has always been there! I did hear a rumor that some students are using hard drugs in school and you know it’s something that has been banned! So, anyone with a problem should be prepared for anything!" Another one spoke up as they strolled over to the canteen, they had enough time and didn’t have to hurry as it could be said that the entire afternoon would be busy with that.
"I guess, several students would end up being expelled compared to the ones who had been expelled because of bullying! A lot has been going on, and even sex has been going on around the dorms!" Another student whispered across the friend student walking along the pavement with her.
