He changed his shoes before getting inside, it was raining so heavily but managed to get home sooner before it could get worse.
"Welcome back home..." Princess Aryana who had heard people getting into the house turned around to gaze at the door and realized it was Huo Dong and his secretary getting inside the mansion.
"Mnnh... You don’t have to wait for me here... When you are done, you can always go to bed early... I might return very late some other times!" He hoarsely muttered before strolling over to the kitchen to get a glass of water...
He got a water glass from the cupboard and fetched some cold water from the dispenser and then added a little hot water to create a lukewarm temperature, before gulping it down his throat and placing the water glass on top of the countertop.
He had been in a terrible mood from the time he tried calling and his brother didn’t receive his calls even after calling him several times, Huo Shen hadn’t responded and neither returned those missed calls, he wondered what he was thinking about him. Why wasn’t he receiving his calls? Did he give him a chance to repent? Did he take that back? He had too many questions wandering around his mind.
After a few minutes of contemplating, she responded, "Oooh... Can I warm some food for you to have? I did leave a portion for you!" She trailed behind him over to the bar counter as it was just after the kitchen and she stood just behind him.
"No! I think I’m good for the night, go on... It’s getting late, you should get some rest..." He dismissed her, he had eaten outside while he was having some private meetings with some ministers in the restaurant, so he wasn’t that hungry.
