"Wei Wei..." Nanny Wei who was cooking turned around and eyed her, she placed the spoon down stopping what she was doing, and held her shoulders turning her around checking her all over the body.
"Good morning momma..."
"Don’t worry, I’m perfectly fine, instead, how are you? How are you feeling?" She held those hands that were holding her shoulders kneading them gently while moving them to her front.
"I’m fine, do you want anything? Should I serve you some porridge?" She checked her out before gazing at Huo Shen who was busy on his iPad.
"I want to make some mild sweet congee for him, his stomach is a little bit frail today..." She didn’t need to hold his hand to know he wasn’t feeling that well. He was having a stomach mild inflammation and having some congee would be better than heavy meals.
"Okay, I’m done here, the kitchen is all yours, I will serve the others..." She got a clean apron from the countertop drawers and passed it over to her.
"Thank you, momma..." She received and wore it before going into the walk-in refrigerator. She picked up fresh ingredients, most of them, they harvested from the backyard garden.
She got the ingredients placed them on top of the side of the sink, and began cleaning them up before chopping.
