"I told you I will be fine, don’t exhaust yourself! You can go ahead and rest." With signs, he politely notified her that he would be just okay without being lulled. He was already used to it.
"Okay, let me tell you a story then, maybe you will sleep..." Su Wei Wei got into the bed and with a different cover, she covered herself laying there next to him. The heater was on, and the room was warm.
He politely nodded his head, Su Wei Wei’s voice was warm and soothing, he didn’t mind listening to her all night long even if they would be horror stories.
"There was once a girl whose mother got married to a wicked family, and her mother had turned her to her kid’s nanny...." She went on narrating a story but it was her reality, she had read too little to have any kind of stories to narrate to a boy of ten years old.
The boy can be young but he would still differentiate between fiction and reality, knowing this could be her story, he stretched his hand and gently tapped on her shoulders while she went on narrating.
That sweet image was harmonious and warm and they easily connected to each other... It was like two siblings who have lived eternity together.
