Chapter 156; What happened?
"All of you, go out..." He coldly dismissed them, and they hurriedly got out of the wardroom closing the door while Huo Zheng came back from the other side of the hallway and met them at the door.
"What happened?" He worriedly inquired as he opened the wardroom door to walk in.
"We were told to go out and so we did!" Huo Qi hoarsely muttered as Huo Zheng got inside placed the container he had gotten into the top of the bedside drawer and stepped out.
"We Wei..." He endearingly called her as he tried to drag the covers away but her grip was even tighter than before like she was holding onto her life. How could she let him look at her old self?
Knowing that it could be self-esteem, he could only assure her, that it was easy to have fears when things change so drastically.
"It’s just your hair, see how beautiful it’s! You would never be old in my eyes!" He bit his lower lip as he didn’t know what to say apart from these few words that sounded coyish. He had never been in love before or had any relationship experience, so he felt it was more difficult facing her with how insecure she was feeling about herself.
"Really? You promise?" She softly muttered from under the covers.
"Yes! I will keep my word!" He hoarsely muttered gazing at the covered head assuring her, she slowly dragged the covers away with his assurance. So long as she was beautiful in his eyes, then nothing mattered the most. His opinion was the only positive thing she needed to hear.
She sweetly blinked her dark purple eyes gazing at him warmly, he was the only family she had, and at those dangerous moments, he was the only person she thought of, and she was scared of being abandoned.
