Chapter 27; Remember what I told you...
"Remember what I told you? In the Huo Family, we don’t divorce. It’s either one of us dies, only then would the other be free! Since you requested to be engaged to me, and I’m being a gentleman, I am trying to fulfill your requests. But you’re not being sincere! Do you want to keep this a secret? See that exit over there? You’re free to leave..." he softly muttered while having his coffee. He knew how powerful Mr Huo was and this was what Su Wei Wei needed the most.
Su Wei Wei had thought she was smart and could use him but no, she miscalculated and Huo Shen was way more calculative. At first, he thought she was asking for too much, but after that small encounter at the military hospital and hearing how dark their hearts were, he decided to keep this little prey. Her words were sharp but atleast she was honest.
"Huo Shen! This wasn’t among the agreements we had! You are changing terms here of which you are taking advantage of!" Su Wei Wei stretched her hand to knock the teacups down onto the floor in anger but stopped midway after hearing the statement that followed next.
"That tea set there is a hundred million dollars, and in the Huo family, we don’t waste food, unless you want to go over to the ancestral hall and kneel for the next 12 hours without food... You better learn the Huo family rules..." He lazily muttered.
She immediately curbed her anger, withdrawing her hand as her eyes turned watery. She tried to calm herself down.
"Don’t cry, you’ll look ugly and scare the ghosts away, you know? Shhh..." He inwardly felt like laughing, with her around, his days would be busy and occupied no doubt, she was cuter whenever she pouted her lips.
If he could, he would keep her company, annoy her whenhever he felt like it. This was different, he has met many women in the past but only her touch wasn’t disgusting and triggered his allergies.
