I felt a rupture like I have damaged my ribs only to find out that it was just the shock of the event that put my mind in a hypnotic state of shock. I’m still trying to grasp what is happening but the ear bleeding sound caused by the continuous shooting of guns keeps halting my ability to think.
I’m scared. Genuinely.
I thought Asami was the scariest thing I would ever encounter in my life till now. Right now, all I’m worried about is making it alive. Whether it be me left later with a robot arm or amputated legs, I just want to survive. Although with the chaos unveiling before me, it seems far fetched.
“Hazel, talk to me, ARE YOU OKAY?!!” Makes my ears bleed even more as the masculine voice beaming with concern is like an echoing chime in my ears. It snapped me back to the present though. . . One I wished was just a day dream.
I try to speak but I can’t. My mouth can’t seem to fall open and my tongue seems tied. My body is rigid on the ground below him. I feel so numb.
Terror.
This is the residue of terror and it’s clung onto me like a leech.
My body is quivering beneath his like never before and I can feel my heart beat faster even from my head. Another gunshot came with the collapse of the walls blocking this place from outside. The wall bricks crumble brashly to the ground, clouding the atmosphere with dust of broken bricks and what I think is wood and cement. I swallow. It doesn’t take me long enough to know that I can’t be here.
