I ring the door bell. Getting into the estate she lives in was not hard at all considering I have already been here once. Or have I? I can’t remember but I do know I’ve sent her a gift before. One she might be receiving sometime soon again. Maybe this time, it’ll be her own body parts iced.
I wait patiently outside the door for a response. There wasn’t any. Fuck this.
My hand clothed in leather gloves holds onto the door knob and breaks it open.
Would you look at that? An open invitation? Who am I to decline?
A satisfied smirk paints my lips as I push the door open, walking in. Inside the house is dark. I keep heading in, exploring the darkness. I don’t need any source of illumination to know that I’m standing in the living room. It’s pretty obvious from the density of the atmosphere. I also can tell where every furniture is placed with ninety nine percent accuracy along with the fact that there are people in here.
I take careful steps to a nearby wall, trailing my fingers down its plane while searching for a light switch. My fingers land on one. I flick it on. The living room doesn’t light up one bit. I flick my finger back and forth, turning the switch on and off. Nothing changes with the lights.
This is when I know something is up. I take gentle steps away from the wall, keeping the sound of my feet as it hits the floor silent. There is more than one person occupying this room.
My hand makes its way to my gun strap around my waist while the other grabs onto my zippo. I take my gun out along with my zippo. A silencer is always attached to my gun so this should be interesting.
“You know I can hear you breathe, so there’s no point to hiding, right?” I say, taking careful steps forward in a circular axis. There are two people at both ends of the room. Both of them are with guns. I don’t have to see them to notice the change in their movements.
One of them is loading their gun and the other is about to creep out of their hiding spot. Pretty stupid move if you ask me. I don’t know what the hell is going on here tonight but where the fuck is Asami?
