Chapter 152
- KILLIAN -
“Well don’t you look adorable?” Killian says, pulling me in for a hug. On a casual day, I’d push him away because we’re in public but for once, I actually need this hug. I’ve been craving it desperately for a while. It’s so nice to feel his skin pressed against mine.
I clutch my arms around his back, holding him tightly. “It’s been like forever.”
Killian holds me tighter to him. My head sinks in his chest, and it feels like I’m drowning into his body hut but I really don’t mind that at all. “Guess you ‘missed me so much’ after all.” Killian says, rephrasing my words. I told him something similar to this when he was leaving. I pull my head backwards a little, while keeping my jaw rested on his abs, giving him a sly look.
“Very sly. Very, very sly.” Killian chuckled at my words.
“Get in the car, let me take you someplace nice.”
“And ignore school? No thank you, you wouldn’t be sitting in those seats in the heat of exams.” I respond to him, obviously joking. I want to hop right in and forget this wretched school full of bad luck ever existed but I won’t fold that easily.
“Get in the car, Hazel. Or I will carry you in.” His hand pats my hair gently and I can feel the vibration of his body with each word he says.
I pull away. “Souvenir meal first, for bribery.” I say, holding my hand up.
“Since you’re not being a good girl, I might as well eat it.” Killian snaps his teeth together. His form looks like he’s about to retreat into his car. My face flattens. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be. What happened to telling me sweet words and pampering me to get in? Where did this human come from?!
What tree did I pluck him from exactly, because ain’t no freaking way.
“Wait, wait!” I call, stretching my hand in front of him. “I’ll get in. No fair.” I make a face.
