Chapter 35 - THIRTY FIVE

It’s sports week. I still can’t believe this! Kate has week awol throughout last week while barely replying to my texts and I can’t deny I got a little bit pissed but understood that anyway. Killian only showed up once for a class last week and was nowhere to be seen since then.
[Translation: AWOL means Absent without official leave or permission.]
I shook my head and put one leg on the bench leaning on the locker and slipped into my jersey. If Kate wasn’t my best friend, I won’t think this much about her business. Especially after that embarrassing thing that happened to me when I accidentally switched the locker rooms. My cheeks burned. If I had a mirror to look at, I’m sure my cheeks will be rosy. I roll my eyes and cleared my throat, bringing myself back to the present day.
It’s Monday afternoon and I already hate it. The ladies in my faculty are having an internal competition with ladies in a different faculty.
The competition is between both second years. Not being an athletic person, I don’t see the point of this at all but I’m forced to participate so it looks good on me. I roll my eyes as I put on my sock. I’m changing in the girls locker room.
I sighed. One thing I hate about prestigious universities is they have too many extracurricular activities. I mean come on! It’s not like I’m in college or highschool, let me just finish the year unscathed, having just my classes and books to worry about. Why add sports?
It’s the one thing I’m bad at because I don’t want to ruin my precious skin.
