Chapter 126 rules of engagement
She didn’t say anything. Silence means consent.
I walked behind her, looking at her pure white neck and delicate collarbone. From my angle, I could even see the deep groove, which made me feel a surge of heat.
As I helped her in putting on the necklace, my fingers accidentally brushed against her delicate skin, causing my heart to race. Once the necklace was in place, instead of stepping away, I leaned in close to her ear and softly whispered, "You look stunning today, like you’ve just walked out of a fairy tale! Thank you for coming tonight. Will you be my girlfriend?"
Her body stiffened slightly, her breathing quickened for a moment, and, most interestingly, her ears turned red. She was nervous.
"William, I..."
"Trust me, I will treat you well; I won’t let you down."
I held her crystal-clear earlobe. She hummed softly, leaning weakly against the chair. "William, don’t, don’t..."
I slowly changed tactics, kissing her neck. "The hickey I gave you last time has disappeared. Today, I’ll leave you some new ones!"
"No," she said weakly.
No use saying no!
I lifted her onto my lap, gazed at her enticing red lips, and leaned in closely, the scent of champagne on my breath heightening my excitement. I eagerly relished the sweetness, and she reciprocated by clutching onto my neck with both hands.
"Will you be my girlfriend? I will treat you well."
