A barrage of hellos rang through her ears. Only then did Xia Wan’an realize the noise was coming from above her head. Slowly, she looked up to see who it was.
First, her eyes were caught by a long dress, golden in color. Under the chandelier’s light, it was dazzlingly bright.
However, what was even more dazzling was the newcomer’s face, a face that Xia Wan’an was fairly familiar with.
Staring at her for a couple of seconds, Xia Wan’an remembered her name—Qin Shujian.
Last time they were in the private room at Golden Splendor, she had merely given Qin Shujian a passing glance. But looking up close now, Xia Wan’an had to admit, it was no wonder Qin Shujian rose to fame in the last year and firmly took the place of the country’s top new actress. Her looks and physique were truly impressive... but she was too thin, so thin she looked several years older than she actually was.
When Qin Shujian noticed Xia Wan’an studying her, she stopped talking. Wearing a confident smile, she let Xia Wan’an size her up.
However, her pose lasted only two to three seconds. Xia Wan’an soon retracted her gaze and ignored Qin Shujian, as if she didn’t exist, not even showing any intention to speak.
