"Husband, this is Madam Su I’ve mentioned to you before," Mrs. Qin set down the little girl in her arms and walked smilingly to Qin Yan’s side.
With Mrs. Qin standing beside him, the couple looked even more pleasing to the eye, like a perfect match. Su Yunjin greeted Qin Yan with a smile.
"Pleased to meet you, Young Master Qin." Qin Yan was handsome, and his moon-white brocade robe made him appear even more nobly out of this world, intimidatingly unapproachable.
Qin Yan looked at Su Yunjin and nodded lightly, then turned his head back to Mrs. Qin, his expression softening, "Wan’er, the old dowager of Prince Qi Residence has sent someone to call for us."
The old dowager of the Prince Qi Residence was known for her charity, and Mrs. Qin greatly respected her. Hearing Qin Yan say that the old dowager had summoned them, Mrs. Qin turned her gaze to Su Yunjin.
"Madam Su, my husband and I are going to see the old dowager, so we must take our leave now. Let’s get together some other time when we’re free," Mrs. Qin was ready to leave.
Su Yunjin was very understanding, "Mrs. Qin, since the old dowager has requested your presence, you and Young Master Qin should go quickly and not keep her waiting."
After sending off Mr. and Mrs. Qin, Su Yunjin thought of Gu Ya waiting for her in the front courtyard; she wondered if he had become impatient during the long time she had been apart from Mrs. Qin.
Gu Ya had no acquaintances in the Prince Qi Residence, and he must have been bored sitting by himself, so she decided to go find him right now. Su Yunjin stepped forward and headed towards the front courtyard.
The gaze of the man on the opposite loft never left Su Yunjin until she had walked away, at which point he finally diverted his attention.
