Mrs. Shen shook her head, “Yunjin, whether your brother is cut out for studying is too early to tell. We’ll have to wait a few more years to see.”
The things Su Xiaobao was learning at school were simple, and being able to recite the Analects was not indicative of much.
Mrs. Shen had seen kids in the village who could recite the Analects get praised for their intelligence, only to end up not even becoming a Scholar.
