Chapter 429: The Sigil Chase Across the Skies
The murderous aura surged like a black tide across the horizon.
Ethan and Ormund floated in the air, motionless, facing the oncoming beast horde.
Within the radius of his Soul Sense, Ethan saw Julian dragging the ten unconscious soldiers out of harm’s way. They were gravely injured—whether they’d make it out alive was still uncertain.
Then, the tide of beasts slowed as it reached a thousand yards from Ethan. The horde, a swarm of monstrous forms, hesitated and came to a stop.
Not because of anything said or done—but because of what they saw. A lone human stood calmly atop the head of a majestic white tiger. A surreal sight.
And this human... had no aura.
None.
To energy users—or in this case, beast clans—that was the most dangerous kind of presence.
They couldn’t gauge Ethan’s strength, couldn’t tell his rank. He might as well have been a void.
But they could sense Ormund. The white tiger’s power radiated with mid-tier Transcendent-level energy, unmistakable.
A brute of a beast with a thick, stone-gray hide and a tusked face stepped forward and bellowed, "Who the hell are you brat to stand in our way, human?!"
Ethan narrowed his eyes. Judging their ranks was tricky, but from the sheer pressure emanating from them, it was clear—every single one was War God-rank.
