Chapter 1013 - 020 Regain face
"What’s up?" Giselle Browman’s face lit up with excitement, tossing aside the displeasure she felt on her way back, and then her imagination ran wild as she guessed, "Oh, I know, are you going to tell your aunt and the others that Bernard Taylor is about to become my brother-in-law?"
These past ten days, the female colleagues in the office had been enthusiastically talking about Bernard Taylor again, saying that Bernard had started smiling; the once stoic handsome guy looked so charming when he smiled, he must have gotten a girlfriend. They were all eager to know, who is Mr. Taylor’s girlfriend? Who could be so charming to have moved such a celestial being like him?
Giselle Browman really wanted to tell them that the charming person in their eyes was her sister, Avery Graham.
Lately, when she went to Bernard’s office room to submit documents and report on her work, she also felt that Bernard had indeed changed a lot. When she got home, she would probe Avery indirectly. Avery’s responses were not as definitive as before, and she even often blushed, which naturally made Giselle realize what was happening.
"Yes, yes, yes, you’re so smart." Avery didn’t refute, quickly finished the remaining half bowl of noodles, then pushed the empty bowl toward Giselle, "Since you’re stuffed, go get some exercise, wash the dishes."
"..." Giselle muttered, reluctantly going to do it.
Returning to the living room, Avery saw that the coffee table was piled with snacks Giselle had eaten. Having eaten so much yet still managing to eat such a big bowl of noodles, it seemed she really did have a tough day outside.
Avery briefly tidied up the living room, put the remaining snacks from the bag into the snack cabinet, and thought about the planned move on May Day; she had already informed the landlord in advance. They would leave on May Day as their lease expired at the end of May.
Moreover, Bernard had taken her to see the villa, the blueprint of the interior design looked beautiful, and she was looking forward to their new home. However, she hadn’t yet told her parents, and the money for the house was all fronted by Bernard. The 1.5 million she borrowed from Celia Wade, she had also given to Bernard.
Bernard initially refused to take it, but eventually couldn’t win against her persistence and reluctantly accepted it.
