Chapter 986 - 016 Indirect Confession_2
Men have their flaws, and if he had controlled his shortcomings, things between Avery and him wouldn’t have ended up like this. Avery’s friends could have all been an assistance to him in the future, and now he deeply regretted his inability to control his own desires.
When Michael Auclair drove to the Emperory that Adelle Turner had mentioned, Avery Graham and Bernard Taylor had just finished their meal. He rushed over to Adelle’s side, and before he could say anything, he saw Avery and Bernard walking out.
Adelle had already become blacklisted, so in this still chilly season, she stood outside in the cold wind, waiting for Michael Auclair while the friends she had brought before had long since left.
Before leaving, they had warned her not to mingle with such an irritable girl, or it would lead to serious trouble one day. Adelle didn’t want to be involved with Jollie Auclair either, but since she fancied Jollie’s Big Brother, in order to win Michael Auclair’s favor, she had to take good care of Jollie, even though she didn’t like her.
"Avery and the others have arrived, go and beg her to see what she can do," Adelle said to Michael Auclair, simulating concern for Jollie while clinging tightly to Michael as Avery glanced in their direction.
Avery was a bit surprised to see Michael Auclair in that moment—it really was a brother-sister bond. The sister had just gotten into trouble, and here the Big Brother had appeared.
Michael Auclair walked toward them, with Adelle following closely behind.
Avery stood there with Bernard Taylor by her side. Michael didn’t look at Bernard but spoke directly to Avery, "Avery, I’m sorry. I’ve just found out what Jollie did to you. I’ve failed as an older brother to keep an eye on her, and I apologize to you on her behalf. Please be the bigger person and let her go."
