Chapter 972 - 014 Bernard Taylor’s Story_2
Bernard Taylor shot them a glance and said, "You guys are really boring."
With those words, Bernard Taylor had clearly rejected them.
No matter how much they tried to persuade him, Bernard Taylor refused to play the game. What he didn’t know was that in Violet Orson’s Moments, her friends were saying the same thing to her, telling her to go confess to the fairy as an angel, which she also flatly refused.
But those interactions left an impression on each of them.
Previously, Bernard Taylor hadn’t paid much attention to Violet Orson. But ever since that ridiculous suggestion had come from his friend’s mouth, he didn’t know if he had started paying attention or what, but the chances of the two meeting at school had significantly increased.
When they saw each other, they would smile, nod, as a way of greeting, and then go their separate ways, back to their own paths.
Their first crossing paths happened that day when school was dismissed, and Violet Orson stayed a little longer. She was the class leader, and the next week, her class was going out to sketch from life, so she stayed behind to help the teacher with some preparations.
Bernard Taylor was also a class cadre. After the holiday, they had held a class meeting, and he ended up being entangled by a few younger girls—some presenting him with homemade cakes, and others with perfume. Bernard Taylor directly refused, but the girls ran faster than anyone, and he found a place to dispose of their offerings.
After dealing with that, he started walking toward the school exit. By then, there weren’t many people around. To get from the school gate to the bus station, one had to walk a roughly 500-meter-long road.
He walked on with his backpack, as his family had a driver. He generally didn’t let the family car pull up to the school gate but asked the driver to wait near the bus station.
He had called the family driver in advance, telling him he would have a class meeting after school and asking him to come later.
