Chapter 921 - 004 Officially Visiting_4
"Where would you like to eat? Today I’m treating, our boss gave me a hefty money yesterday," Michael Auclair said with a pleasing look, "Also, how much did you buy today? I’ll reimburse you later. It shouldn’t be the case where I’m visiting your family and you have to prepare everything for me."
"In the future, what’s mine is yours, and what’s yours is mine," Avery Graham said earnestly. She truly hadn’t thought about quarreling over such things with him. Since they were going to live together, it really wasn’t necessary to be so calculating between them.
"Mmm, I like that sentence you just said," Michael Auclair nodded, "However, speaking of which, it is indeed my responsibility to pay for those items as a matter of etiquette. Otherwise, it would seem quite insincere, wouldn’t it?"
"...Okay then," Avery Graham didn’t insist.
She drove to a Chinese Restaurant, as since they’d both drunk quite a lot of wine the previous night, it was best not to eat anything messy. A Main Course and some rice would help sober them up.
After entering, they ordered four dishes and a soup. Just as they started eating, Giselle Browman woke up and called Avery Graham on her phone. Avery took the call and gave her the address, telling her to take a taxi over, and they would wait for her.
Giselle Browman agreed and arrived half an hour later.
Michael Auclair ordered two more dishes for Giselle Browman, who picked up her bowl and devoured the food like a starving ghost reincarnated, shoveling it into her mouth without any concern for appearances. This unabashed manner made Avery Graham shake her head in helpless resignation.
Avery had seen many people with hangovers, but this was the first time she had seen someone with a hangover eat like a starving ghost—and this person was her own cousin, which was embarrassingly shameful to say.
Michael Auclair paid the bill, and after lunch, Giselle Browman went home to pack. The streets were somewhat deserted, likely because many companies hadn’t gone on holiday yet.
It was only around four or five o’clock when vendors slowly began to set up their stalls.
