"Don’t you only have a seven-day holiday?" Avery Graham asked in return, not particularly concerned with what Michael Auclair had called his wife.
"Yeah, so I plan to go back on the third day of the festivities. I think from New Year’s Eve to the second day at your place should be enough, right?" Michael Auclair laid out his plans, noting that since he had to work on the seventh day, he could only stay at their place for three days.
A three-day stay with the family.
"Hmm, okay," Avery Graham nodded.
"Great, then I’ll confirm the dates with my parents tonight." Michael Auclair still held a lot of respect for her, "The day after tomorrow is the company’s annual party and New Year’s Eve dinner. Will you come with me, is that okay?"
"The day after tomorrow?" Avery Graham frowned, having just agreed to dine with Nelson Castillo and his group. She didn’t know about Michael Auclair’s company’s annual party, and besides, they weren’t husband and wife yet. Wouldn’t it be inappropriate to attend someone else’s company banquet?
"What’s wrong, do you have something else on?" Michael Auclair guessed from Avery Graham’s reaction.
"Yeah, I’ve just agreed to something else. I’ll attend your company’s annual party next year, there’s plenty of time for that, don’t you think?" Avery Graham could only tell the truth.
