"Alright, I’m off. I know you find me nagging, but there’s chicken soup for you too, hurry and have a bowl," after saying that, Avery’s mom finally left with the empty thermos in hand.
Once Avery’s mom left, the two sisters exchanged helpless smiles.
After polishing off the chicken soup and barbecue, Avery tossed her bowl into the sink and said to Giselle, "Giselle, let’s go to bed and clean up tomorrow. I’m off to take a shower first."
"It’s fine, sis. I can clean up. You go and take your shower," Giselle said as she tied on an apron and began tidying up the kitchen.
She was quite the clean freak and couldn’t stand the sight of a messy kitchen, feeling the urge to clean it immediately, unable to wait until the next day.
Avery was different. She was more laid-back, doing things well when she felt like it and was skilled at cleaning up, but when she didn’t want to do something, even if it was just a tiny task, she would rather leave it and deal with it the next day.
So, living together with Giselle was a good thing for her, at least it was less work for her, and she could laze around when she wanted to.
