At least it wouldn’t be like now, facing the inevitable separation after encountering an unforeseen situation.
The two lovers spent the whole night together, and Carolline’s phone was already off when Jasmine called.
Jasmine didn’t get through and didn’t try again, as it was already late. Maybe they’d gone to bed, but since Carolline called, it should be good news.
Jasmine was already tired, and Christopher was still on the phone. She didn’t plan to go out and check, so she lay in bed waiting. She didn’t know how long she waited, but when she was feeling drowsy, Christopher finally came in.
"What phone call took so long?" Seeing Christopher enter, Jasmine sat up, supporting her waist.
"Well, it’s nothing. A friend asked me to come out for his birthday tonight. You can go to sleep first, and I’ll try to come back as soon as possible." Christopher said, opening the wardrobe and choosing an outfit.
"But it’s so late, and your friend still wants you to go out?" Jasmine was somewhat dissatisfied. It was too late, and she was pregnant and uncomfortable. She needed someone to accompany her, what if something happened?
"I have no choice. I have some hope now, and I want to discuss cooperation with others. Fine, I’ll drink less wine and come back as soon as possible. You can sleep and don’t wait for me." Christopher finished speaking, took the car key and wallet, and left.
Jasmine didn’t think much and went to sleep. Pregnant women are naturally sleepy, especially in the later stages of pregnancy, when she would wake up more often during the night. Anyway, being pregnant is not an easy thing.
