Chapter 686 Carolline Ruiz Gets Angry (1)
What was supposed to be a beautiful day was ruined by Phoebe Edwards. Bryan Hawkins was irritated, but he was rational and knew that the biggest mistake had been his own for devising such a scheme in the first place.
He’d thought there would be time to explain everything to Carolline Ruiz afterwards, but running into Phoebe Edwards had thrown all his plans into disarray.
He knew that if he didn’t take the initiative to admit his wrongdoing, Carolline would surely be angry. Now, his wife really was mad at him.
Bryan Hawkins drove straight home, carried Axel out of the backseat, and picked up several bags. Carolline took the remaining bags and followed him.
Throughout the journey, she didn’t make a sound.
It wasn’t until they both entered the house that Bryan, carrying Axel, went into the bedroom. Carolline divided the bags, taking Axel’s to the restroom and her own to put in the bedroom.
When Bryan Hawkins came out, he didn’t see Carolline in the living room. Aunt Lu came over, and Bryan asked her to help him rinse Axel’s new clothes with water. Then he went to look for Carolline in the bedroom.
Carolline was sitting on a single sofa in the room, arms folded over her chest, clearly waiting for someone to enter and explain things to her. Aunt Lu and Uncle Lei were outside, and Carolline didn’t want them to hear.
