"If she doesn’t eat, let her starve." Debbie Duncan hung up the phone.
She never thought that Jane Auclair would be so troublesome and inefficient. But now, it seemed that dragging the situation on like this was not a solution, so she left the house, went to a secluded place, and made a call to the man she had found before.
Debbie Duncan didn’t know that the few men she had previously hired had already been found by Benjamin Ford, who had explained the whole situation. At this point, Debbie’s call was just inviting him to catch her.
Benjamin Ford had someone record the conversation between the man and Debbie Duncan, which provided conclusive evidence of her guilt.
They spent a day capturing the three men involved in the case: one who had stolen the wallet, and the other two who had cooperated in kidnapping Elena Duncan. But the three of them didn’t know where the little girl was, so Benjamin didn’t call Bryan Cooper to inform him about the situation yet.
He thought that the so-called employer, Mrs. Duncan, would certainly contact these men, and soon enough, Debbie Duncan made a call.
Still, she didn’t reveal the address of the little girl during the call, but now they had a better idea of who had taken her away.
With the recording in hand, Benjamin Ford called Bryan Cooper and told him the whole story.
When Benjamin was making the call, Carolline Ruiz was still in Bryan’s car. As soon as she heard that it was about Elena, she held her breath and waited quietly.
