"...Congratulations on the good news, then." Benjamin Ford was somewhat speechless, feeling like Bryan Hawkins kept flaunting his relationship in front of him, a single guy, making him even more cunning than he thought.
"Alright, thank you, I’ll send you the girl’s picture and information later." Bryan Hawkins said, then hung up the phone.
Back in the room, Carolline Ruiz couldn’t sleep due to her worry about Elena Duncan. She was too scared to even mention it to Axel, for fear he’d lose sleep as well.
"Send me Elena’s picture, and I’ll pass it on to someone who might be able to help find her." Bryan Hawkins came over.
"How long will that take?" Carolline Ruiz’s eyes lit up, knowing Bryan was capable. Considering his previous accomplishments, she had wanted to ask for his help as soon as they got home, but she didn’t want Axel to overhear, and she didn’t want to push Bryan too hard either.
"I’m not sure, but it should be faster than the police. The main thing is that we haven’t received a call from the kidnappers yet, so it’ll be difficult for the police to find them through normal channels." To be honest, Bryan Hawkins didn’t know how capable Benjamin Ford was, or how famous his name was in that world.
An accident led him to meet Fourth Master, who he knew was an influential figure. It was just a pity that someone with such intelligence chose the path of crime.
"So you have to go through irregular channels?" Carolline Ruiz hesitated, but she knew that the most important thing right now was to find Elena, no matter the means. Otherwise, Daisy Willow would be devastated.
As time went on, it would be impossible to keep this secret from Axel, and there was no telling what he might do when he found out.
Of course, her biggest concern was that Elena wouldn’t be able to handle the torment, and what if the ones who had taken her decided to physically attack her?
With this in mind, Carolline Ruiz stopped hesitating.
