Chapter 649: Elena Duncan’s Disappearance (5)
Letting him see Elena early was meant to make him happy, but she did not know what Daisy Willow said to her son. What originally seemed like a chance to win her son’s praises had been ruined by that woman.
"Mom, you don’t need to gain merit in front of me, you’re my mother." Cole Duncan was somewhat speechless. She was his mother, so even after she had caused him to lose everything, he wouldn’t abandon her.
However, he didn’t want to completely lose hope in her. Otherwise, he really didn’t know if he could keep from giving up on her.
"Yes, I know I’m your mother. But now I know even more that in your heart, I can’t compare to that woman named Willow. Now that you’re divorced, you resent me, I understand. But that woman, she doesn’t have you in her heart at all right now. Do you know where she’s been these past days, not in G City? Who she’s been with?"
Cole’s mother screamed uncontrollably again. Every time mother and son discussed Daisy Willow, they ended up in such a heated argument.
"I don’t want to know. We’re divorced, she can go wherever she wants and be with whomever she wants. She has the freedom and the right to remarry if she wants." Cole Duncan endured the pain in his heart. Has Daisy Willow really decided to remarry so soon?
He didn’t object, but he felt a sour bitterness.
"She does have that right, but she’s taking the money the Duncan family gave her and enjoying herself with that lawyer. I can’t stand it, and I’m not convinced." Cole’s mother was trembling with anger, thinking her son had given that woman so much money, and now she was using it to enjoy her life while her son lived in such despair.
How could she, as his mother, accept this stark contrast?
