"Then hang up." Gary Skate was straightforward, hanging up the phone right away.
Just as Bryan Cooper hung up the phone, Carolline Ruiz pushed the door open and came in. Seeing his appearance, she asked in surprise, "You haven’t showered yet?"
"Yeah, I’m going to shower right now. Is Axel asleep?" That little guy, he thought Axel would pester Carolline for a while.
"Yes, he was already tired and just waiting for me to come back. I told him that we would go to Grandpa and Grandma’s house for dinner tomorrow, so he went to bed early." Carolline nodded, feeling quite tired herself, and lay down on the bed directly.
"Should I go to my parents’ house for dinner too?" Bryan Cooper asked, his eyes shining brightly.
"How long would it take you to drive there and back?" she implied, not quite approving of the idea.
She didn’t want Bryan to get too tired. He was already busy working, currently managing the company alone. Since Madelyn Lincoln was pregnant, even if the second-in-command wanted to help out at the company, he couldn’t do much, so everything still depended on Bryan. She was genuinely worried about him getting worn out with the workload and the added driving trip.
"Alright, then I won’t go." Bryan Cooper took his clothes and went to the bathroom to shower.
By the time Bryan Cooper got out, Carolline was already asleep. He had only been in the bathroom for less than ten minutes, so she must have been really tired. He smiled slightly.
Turning off the lights and getting into bed, he lowered the temperature by two degrees and then held Carolline in his arms as they both slept.
