By the time the other three people realized that the couple had mysteriously disappeared, they didn’t think to call the police since they knew why they disappeared in the first place.
Axel didn’t mind either, having a great time with Jeffrey, his uncle, and being able to tease Avie, his aunt. The three of them got along and were very happy, and whatever Axel wanted to eat, the two adults would buy for him.
For example, he ate several ice creams, which would have been limited to one if Carolline were there.
Carolline sat on the Ferris Wheel, looking at Bryan Hawkins on the other side. They had abandoned their younger siblings and son just like that, and she felt very guilty. However, Bryan on the other side didn’t show any guilt at all.
"How did you come up with this arrangement?" Carolline frowned.
"I remember someone’s diary mentioned a wish to enjoy all the rides in the amusement park with her boyfriend. Isn’t this fulfilling your childhood dream?" Bryan Hawkins raised his eyebrows and looked at Carolline. He had planned this arrangement long ago but had never put it into action.
"Diary? When did you sneak a look at my diary?" Carolline frowned. This hypocritical guy had actually done something as low as peeking at someone’s diary, how infuriating.
"One night when you didn’t come home, I couldn’t sleep by myself in the empty bed, so I got up and went through some things, didn’t I?" He shamelessly admitted his ’despicable’ behavior.
Carolline remembered that one night she did not come home was due to her staying at Celia Wade’s house, eating hot pot with Daisy Willow, and the women talked and talked almost all night long.
