"..." Simon Carrington looked back at her, his eyes sharp. Irene Houston met his gaze, unfazed, "You shouldn’t have forgotten how we got married in the first place, should you? Now, I no longer need this marriage, so, I want it to end."
Back then, she had received a call from Simon, proving to others that his relationship with Daisy Willow was innocent. They were merely attorney and agent with nothing untoward. He would appear timely to help her with any trouble she’d encounter, just as she would help him out willingly with any of his troubles.
But now, she indeed didn’t need this marriage anymore because she planned to leave her worldly life behind, and she had even found the right place to do so.
"But I need it now." Especially at this time when his grandfather was seriously ill, it was unwise for him to get a divorce or have any changes in his marriage with Irene.
"Let’s go to your room to talk." As they were standing off against each other, someone opened the door nearby. Irene lowered her head and spoke to Simon. After all, she hadn’t taken out her room card yet.
Simon was certainly a gentleman, so, she totally trusted him.
As they entered the room, Simon was the first to speak, "Given Grandpa’s current health condition, any turbulence in our marriage will greatly affect him. I am not opposed to divorcing, I just hope you can wait a bit longer. Okay?"
