Chapter 461: Wishes Come True (5)
Bryan Hawkins went straight to the kitchen where Carolline Ruiz was already finishing up. He hugged her from behind, "Is it too hard for you? Why don’t I hire a nanny to come and help? Once Axel goes to school, we’ll need someone to look after our daily needs as a family of three."
Their work was very busy, and so was Carolline’s. She didn’t want to quit her job, and he naturally wouldn’t force her. Although he didn’t like his personal space being disturbed, he didn’t want Carolline to be too tired either.
Going to work, cooking, and cleaning were all very exhausting.
Even though they had an hourly worker come to clean the apartment during the day, Bryan still felt that his wife was too tired. His woman should be like his mother, cherished by her husband, not having to do any housework, looking pretty every day at home, and occasionally cooking for her husband and children when she felt like it. And of course, there would be a group of people helping her. He thought Carolline should live such a life.
After all, a wife who’s been brought home should be treated well.
"These little things, it’s not hard," Carolline sweetly replied, "No problem, when Axel goes to school and I work night shifts, I’ll let him stay at his grandparents’ house. I only have night shifts for two or three days a month now."
Her night shifts really weren’t that frequent anymore, especially since she had been promoted. Plus, in September, the hospital would be welcoming a new batch of nurses. At that time, she might be able to work day shifts without having to work night shifts.
"You’re too kind, you can’t say no to others when they ask you to cover their night shifts." This had happened with Carolline before, and Bryan still held a grudge.
