As she spoke, Mother Duncan tried to continue forward, grabbing Elena, who was hiding behind Katie, but at that moment, the butler stepped in to report, "Madam, young master, something bad has happened. The police are at the door, saying they’ve received a report of child abuse happening here."
The butler’s face didn’t look too good because Daisy Willow was the one who called the police, and quite a number of police officers had arrived, along with two other people who seemed not to be trifled with.
"What?!" Mother Duncan couldn’t believe it. Didn’t these police officers know about the Duncan family?
"Take me out to see them." She refused to believe that someone had called the police who were so audacious to accuse them of child abuse.
Mother Duncan walked out to face Carolline Ruiz and Daisy Willow head-on, and her eyes turned cold, "Who let you in? Without the owner’s permission, this is trespassing. Do you understand?"
"Everyone here understands better than you." Daisy Willow saw Mother Duncan and thought of the way she had treated her two hours prior, causing her body to tremble with anger. She couldn’t even utter a word for a moment, but Carolline couldn’t help but retort. For a woman with no education to come up and question if they knew the law?
It wasn’t that she looked down on uneducated people, but an uneducated and unreasonable woman like this was truly a first for her.
