Chapter 406: Lingering Evil Spirits (1)
The next morning at seven, Bryan Hawkins and Xavier Estrada arrived at the Inpatient Department of City First Hospital, where City Committee Secretary Charles Carrington and his relatives were staying, to express Bryan’s sincerity.
Charles Duncan and the main person in charge of Seagace Hotel were already waiting at the entrance of First Hospital for Bryan and Xavier. As soon as they arrived, they were led to Charles Carrington’s ward.
Charles Carrington’s wife did not eat seafood, so she was the only one who was spared in this incident. Both Charles Carrington and his daughter, Maggie Carrington, loved seafood, so they suffered quite a bit.
After the two sides met, they exchanged polite words. Although Charles Carrington was angry, he still maintained a somewhat good demeanor in view of Bryan Hawkins’ identity.
However, it was different for Mrs. Carrington. Her husband and daughter had suffered, and naturally, she was not comfortable. Bryan had arrived after they had waited for two days, and she was naturally upset and put on a stern face.
"Mr. Hawkins is really a busy man. We have been lying in the hospital for two days, and Mr. Hawkins finally arrived." Mrs. Carrington said this directly. The faces of all the staff at Seagace Hotel changed.
Although Bryan himself had not arrived earlier, the staff had been at the hospital round-the-clock. In particular, their General Manager, Charles Duncan, hadn’t even slept, as he hadn’t closed his eyes at all.
Now, to still criticize their boss in this way, who had personally come all the way from City A, which was a 7-8 hour drive away, was not fair. It was already quite commendable that he had arrived so quickly after the incident occurred.
"I’m sorry, Mrs. Carrington. As soon as I received the news, I rushed over immediately, but I am still late. Rest assured that any requests you have, just go ahead and propose them." Bryan Hawkins spoke indifferently, not getting angry at Mrs. Carrington’s bad tone.
