Chapter 389: Everyone Has a Share (1)
Those familiar with Emperory know that Emperory Hotel indeed has eight Top Chefs. Even if you go to Emperory for a meal, you can’t encounter a situation where all eight Top Chefs are working together, and you can’t taste each of their specialty dishes at the same time. Thus, the people present stopped guessing that this Bryan wasn’t that Bryan Hawkins.
As the eight chefs busied themselves in the kitchen, the Ruiz Family awaited them in the living room. At first, Emily Hill didn’t think much of it, but she now realized that the atmosphere had become a tad serious.
When Jasmine Ruiz returned from her walk, she saw everyone sitting in the living room. As a pregnant woman, she got hungry quicker than most. "Mom, is there anything to eat? I’m kinda hungry. Did Auntie arrive? Whose car is that next to the courtyard?"
It carried the Emperory Hotel logo, but why was it parked at their side?
"Are you hungry? I’ll get you some snacks." Snacks were always readily available in her bag. Bonnie Jenkins took some cookies and bread directly from her bag.
"Jasmine, that car belongs to your brother-in-law." Natalie Parton had always been suppressed by Bonnie Jenkins. Since Emily Hill, as a sister-in-law, never competed with them and Natalie’s family ultimately couldn’t keep up with Emily’s, she felt quite relieved.
Even if the person who won wasn’t her, but Carolline Ruiz, the rivalry had lost its sting.
Because their son-in-law came from Kyoto, Bonnie Jenkins’ pride had made her act haughtier at any time than Natalie. Over the years, no matter what they did, Natalie always ran errands while Bonnie did most of the talking.
Who asked Emily Hill not to attend any of the Ruiz family gatherings for the past few years? During Emily’s presence before, most of the work was done by the sister-in-law, and they only helped a little.
