After William Hawkins and Madelyn Lincoln left, Sophia Lawson and Austin Hawkins also packed up some things, brought the old lady and Axel, and headed to the nearest amusement park from their house.
Axel left a note, and the old lady also left a message for the butler.
Meanwhile, in the master bedroom upstairs, Bryan Hawkins woke up from a particularly satisfying and comfortable sleep. Gazing at the still deeply asleep and enchanting Carolline Ruiz beside him, he couldn’t help but get lost in a smitten smile.
Her neck and arms were covered in his artwork. This time was even worse than the last time he had been drugged; the colors were getting deeper and deeper. Bryan couldn’t help but feel apprehensive, wondering what would happen when Carolline woke up and saw the marks, and how many times she would curse at him.
The current Carolline is somewhat different from her past self. In the past, she would repress some of her true emotions in front of him, but not anymore.
Truth be told, he quite liked the current Carolline. She seemed lively and spirited. Men must be masochistic creatures, as having a woman overly dote on them can make them feel like something is missing.
Now, Carolline was eloquent, with vivid facial expressions. Lost in thought, Bryan couldn’t help but lean over and kiss her. At first, Carolline wanted to continue sleeping and tried to avoid him, tossing and turning her head. However, Bryan seemed to be addicted to pestering her, chasing her whenever she dodged and continuing the harassment.
Eventually, Carolline had no choice but to open her eyes and was met with Bryan’s magnified face suddenly appearing before her, causing her to be momentarily dazed.
