At 8:30 the next morning, Axel woke up, enjoying the love of everyone in his great-grandmother’s house. After a sumptuous dinner, breakfast was also quite lavish, and it seemed like he hadn’t said anything, but his great-grandmother had prepared him a sandwich he loved.
Last night, he slept alone. His grandparents both told him stories, and in order to decide who would sleep with him, they almost quarreled. In the end, he decided to sleep alone, and the argument stopped.
"Great-grandma, how did you know I loved sandwiches when we just met?" In his great-grandparents’ house, every time it was porridge with salted vegetables, which he really didn’t like at all. He could handle it occasionally, but having it too frequently was unbearable for him.
"Because you’re just like your father when he was a child. He also loved these things. Axel, you have no idea how much you resemble your father as a child." The old lady especially liked Axel and her conversations with him were always sweet.
"Really?" Axel naturally believed her.
When Austin Hawkins and Sophia Lawson came downstairs, they squeezed in at the dining table and talked to Axel. It was the first time Axel felt like he was the center of attention, like a little sun.
At his great-grandparents’ house, it was already good for him not to be bullied by them. He even felt that maybe his birth had affected his mother and grandmother since his great-grandfather didn’t treat them well either.
"Of course, why would your great-grandmother lie to you?" Seeing Axel had finished one sandwich, the old lady took another and had someone fry two eggs for him and prepare a glass of milk.
