"Mom has something to do, so Grandma asked me to pick you up and take you home, girl. Grandma is in the car. Let’s go, girl, we’re going home now." The butler stretched out her hand to Elena Duncan, who reached out and took her hand.

"Mom, why do you think Aunt Daisy didn’t come today? Did she and Uncle Cole have another fight?" Axel knew that only when Elena’s parents had a fight would Aunt Daisy not pick Elena up on time.
