Chapter 301: Craving Meat (7)
Unknowingly, he couldn’t help but tease her again. Her reactions brought his dead heart back to life in an instant, which was truly unimaginable.
Abernathy didn’t want to care too much about it, but if someone insisted on doing something so excessive, he would definitely make sure that certain people got their way as well.
"Avery, if Bernard really tells you that he likes you, then you should treat him well, understand?" This is what Bryan Hawkins said to Avery after a long silence.
"...What are you talking about? How could this man possibly like me? Is he blind?" There were so many women who were far more beautiful and cultured than her. Was this man blind? Couldn’t he see that she had no interest in him at all?
"Heh, I hope he isn’t really blind." Bryan shook his head. If Bernard fell for this girl, it seemed like his emotional journey would be a tough one.
What he meant to say was that he would rather Bernard wasn’t blind because there were so many women in the world who were much better than this ungrateful Avery. Was it worth it for him to go through so much trouble for a woman who didn’t even care about him?
Two minutes later, they arrived at Avery’s house. Bryan stepped on the brakes, and just as Avery got out of the car and hadn’t had a chance to turn around and thank Bryan, he stepped on the accelerator and drove off quickly.
Avery was annoyed to death and didn’t even look at the car that was parked not far behind her as she headed to her home in the residential area.
Bernard didn’t mind either, he turned off the car, opened the sunroof, lowered his seat a bit, then leisurely watched the stars in the sky, waiting patiently.
