He hasn’t received a reply from his grandmother so far. Given her ability, it shouldn’t take her more than 24 hours to check into such a matter. That’s why he didn’t ask Xavier Estrada to investigate.
So, the only possibility for his grandmother not replying by now is that the child in Carolline Ruiz’s belly really has nothing to do with him. Otherwise, his grandmother would be overjoyed.
Bryan Hawkins suddenly felt dazed. For a moment, he couldn’t understand what he had done to drive Carolline away so suddenly, making her fall into the arms of another man.
Andy Aguirre seemed to notice that someone was staring at him. He turned and met Bryan Hawkins’ gaze. Having seen him on television many times, he chuckled, "Mr. Hawkins, what a coincidence."
"Dr. Aguirre," Bryan Hawkins responded, his tone indifferent and apathetic.
"Eating here?" Andy raised his eyebrow. He had once thought that, for Carolline’s sake, he would question Bryan Hawkins thoroughly. But now, he discarded that idea. Since Carolline had calmly decided to be a single mother, why should he tell her and the child’s matters to the man in front of him?
Of course, perhaps one day this man would learn about Carolline and the child. He believed that Carolline would face the situation rationally, calmly handle it.
"....." Bryan Hawkins was somewhat speechless. This was a restroom; did he need to eat in a restroom?
He turned and headed towards the Men’s Restroom, ignoring Andy Aguirre; Andy Aguirre only glanced at him and then continued to wait for Carolline.
Andy Aguirre’s conversation with Bryan Hawkins wasn’t deliberately hushed, and Carolline heard it from inside. As she was urinating, the baby in her belly impulsively kicked her - perhaps it, like her, had heard its father’s voice and felt excited.
