Chapter 188: Coming and Going (2)
It was like a couple strolling through the countryside, chatting casually from time to time.
Bryan Hawkins’ car stopped at the entrance of the village, and Xavier Estrada followed him not too far away. As they walked into the village, everyone they passed was busy. Yet the handsome Bryan Hawkins still attracted quite a few stares from the villagers.
The children were even more interested in the excitement, crowding around the car stuck in the village and chattering excitedly. It seemed as if they had never seen such a beautiful little car before. The car’s body was so shiny and most importantly, they couldn’t see anything inside. Could it be a model car?
But they had clearly seen the car being driven just now, and two people had gotten out of it.
Bryan Hawkins turned a blind eye to these gazes. He just wanted to find Carolline Ruiz, see how she was doing, and take the opportunity to clarify everything he wanted to say to her all at once.
"Mr. Hawkins, this village doesn’t look small. Why don’t we ask someone for directions?" Xavier Estrada noticed that Bryan Hawkins was just walking straight ahead without direction, so he suggested this idea.
Bryan Hawkins stopped and randomly grabbed someone to ask, "Hello, can you tell me where Carolline Ruiz, the doctor who came to your town, is now?"
"She’s staying at the Village Chief’s house, but at this time, she should have gone to the temple." This person happened to have passed by the Village Chief’s house just now and saw Carolline and two others heading in the direction of the temple.
"Is there any event happening in the village today?" Bryan Hawkins continued asking.
